My husband and I got married in Hawaii and Laurie flew out to accompany us! Laurie was the most amazing photographer, she’s professional, personal, and a true joy to be around. Icing on the cake, her pictures were out of this world! She also followed us to Hana for a 5 mile hike in the humidity after a tropical storm for a “newlywed session”!! Let me tell you with the drive, it was a 12 hour day!

Why do you photograph families?

Because I wish there were more pictures of all of us together when we were little. And that Mom was in more of them with us + not always behind the camera! I want these to be the photos you + your kids pull out in 30 years and feel instantly transported back to that moment, the way everything felt, and feel it all over again. These images are worth so much more to future you, try to remember that!

So what is your family session style?

As a professional Oahu family photographer, my style of shooting is very much interactive – it’s about your families’ relationships + connections, and much less about everyone just looking and smiling at my camera. My goal is to make everyone feel beautiful, comfortable, confident, and really, naturally happy!

What kind of family sessions do you photograph?

Great question! I am there for any and all family moments – from maternity – fresh 48 newborn sessions, into the yearly milestones and finally all of those big family photos! I absolutely adore growing up with my elle rose kiddos and getting to see them each year and catch up with them!

Where do you like to shoot?

I love coming into your home and integrating your full story into your images. Have a favorite park, hike, beach, city view that you guys have family days out to? Let’s spend some time there and capture your magic!

I need family pictures next week, sound good?

Sessions tend to book anywhere from a few weeks to a few months out depending on the time of year. So it is always best to send a hello email even if you think it is too far out – I promise it is not! Lets get you on the calendar before you miss out on the elle rose experience : )
