And in no particular order…. my most favorite getting ready for the wedding images shot over the last year. Getting ready is my favorite time of the wedding day – weird right? Well this and the first look. I just adore the excitement, the happy nerves and giddy feelings that fill up each space. I love the creative challenge of putting together all of these new details – that are always the same, and yet utterly unique to each story I am preserving in front of my lens. Plus all of these authentic moments are unfolding, it is such a right of passage. These connections with your parents, siblings, best friends in the world – they are so important to me. Those connections are all apart of what fuels me on your wedding day! I’ve also realized that I would shoot this entire portion of the day in black + white, like always and forever. I can’t help it, it just stops time in the most beautiful way for me. What can I say, the getting ready portion of the day is just outright packed with pretty and full of a whole bunch of joy. What more could one want?!
