Family Studio Photo Sessions….

Studio photo shoot you say?! How on earth shall we dress ourselves for this type of photoshoot? Well now, let me tell you. You’ve got yourself some FREEDOM! Why is that you ask?! THE STUDIO IS A CLEAR PALATE – no other colors to consider.Oahu Family Studio Photography

It is a blank canvas to rock your vision upon : ) What fun!

So here are a handful of tips for you to consider to save your time, headaches, and stress. Let’s get this squared away so you can enjoy the madness of your daily life with something checked off the todo list! Oahu Family Studio Photography

  1. Pick out your outfit first. And not just visually try it on, dance in front of the mirror with a glass of wine (perhaps a white) or cup or tea and feel your inner Lizzo confidence coming oooouuuttttt. That is the number one rule for you – to wear something that makes you feel GOOD AS HELL. If you pick something out that you have to be stiff, and can only stand or sit one way, that is stressful! That’ll show up on your face – so thank you, next…. Awesome, now that you’ve rocked that, onward!
  2. Kiddos. Their kids! Let’s have a little bit of fun with this. Don’t be afraid of fun colors, funky layers, twirling skirts or fun prints. Things I’d stay away from are – things that can’t be wrinkled, things that have big words on them, things that have to constantly be tucked in. They do not need to be in the same things. Or the same color. Items that flow together complimentary and not matchy-matchy are always a good idea. Don’t be afraid to pick out 3, 4, 5 colors to work with!
  3. Partner! CONFIDENCE GAME again. Please please – remember you are not siblings in the 80’s or 90’s and avoid being dressed in a twinsies kind of way because it is easier. Once you’ve got your outfit picked out – you’ll already be able to narrow down the choices your spouse has to chose from. it is really that simple! Oahu Family Studio Photography
  4. What to avoid on everyone – again, big words/logos can be a little distracting. Tiny/tight straight lined pinstripes on button up shirts do not always photograph very well I would avoid that. Only using 2 colors on everyone… avoid that matchy-match game! Have some fun + rock that confidence!
